Celadon bowl with
In the 13th century, celadon bowls with a lotus petal design were produced in China (Song Dynasty) and exported to various parts of Asia.
A design incorporating lotus petals decorates the outer surface of the vessel, and the central ridges of the petals are carefully carved out so that they stand out three-dimensionally.
Such bowls were used in daily life to serve food, and in the Ryukyu Kingdom, they were also used as items for transit trade.
